Steven Simko—Simko to friends—began photographing in London before moving to New York, where he developed a lasting passion for candid portraiture. While in New York, he began shooting for American Vogue, contributing front-of-the-book stories for the next seventeen years.

Now based in Hollywood, Steven’s work spans fashion, editorial, and portraiture, distinguished by a calm, observational approach and an emphasis on authenticity. Alongside commissioned work, his personal project Sunday Blues in Watts documents the Blues music community at Bell’s Blues Workshop in South Central Los Angeles.
